Andrea Francis – Manager, DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead), First Aider. She also holds a food hygiene certificate. Andrea started here in 1996 as a parent helper. Over the years she has gained many qualifications and has been manager since 2001. She lives locally and has 3 children.
Emma Jameson – Deputy Manager, Deputy DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) First Aider and holds a food hygiene certificate. Emma has been with us since February 2007 and has worked her way up to being Deputy Manager.
Rebecca Bicknell – Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Rebecca is level 3 qualified with an NNEB in childcare. She holds a First Aid and Food Hygiene certificate and has worked with Peter Pan for many years, she lives locally with her family.
We use a key person system, with each child assigned to a member of staff who can then get to know them, and you, in greater depth and so tailor activities specially for them.
Each day children will work individually, in pairs or groups with their key person who will record observations to use in planning further activities. We want children to have the opportunity to learn through direct experience, using their senses as a means of exploring so that they develop confidence in their own ability to make sense of the world.
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) covers 6 main areas:
- Personal, Social & Emotional Development
- Communication, Language & Literacy
- Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical Development
- Creative Development
